My name is Daniel Morell. I am a website developer and online marketer living in the great state of Wisconsin.
I work with businesses to help promote their products and services online via effective websites and marketing strategies.
I have been doing this since 2013. It was not my first choice of careers. I received my degree Law Enforcement Science and worked as a police officer for a short time.
Law enforcement was not what I expected, and turned out to be much more stressful than was good for me.
During college and my short stint as a police officer, I had begun tinkering with websites. I built my first website because my church needed a website. I figured it couldn’t be that hard so I offered to create it.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It turned out to be a lot more work than I expected.
That first project laid the foundation of what would come later.
By the time I was ready to create my third website I had started using Joomla. Within two weeks I had built three more Joomla websites. I instantly loved the system.
The more I use Joomla the more I love it. In my mind, it is the perfect content management system for most websites.
But, I am getting ahead of myself.
After my short career in law enforcement, I started my own website design company called Morell Web Solutions. It had its ups and downs.
After a few years, I renamed my company to CairnTek. This is still the name that it operates under.
The services that I provide have grown. I offer more than just website design. I look at the big picture of customer acquisition and retention. I work with businesses to optimize their online presence and processes to increase effectiveness.
I love what I do.
Now the question is, why am I writing?
There are several reasons why I am starting my own blog. One of the reasons is that writing is good for me.
Yes, I am writing for myself. I find that putting my thought down on paper helps me organize and coalesce the whirlwind of information in my mind into actionable intelligence.
Writing helps me drill through the superfluous to the concrete.
I am also writing because I know that people can benefit from it. I try to answer some of the most common questions that I get asked.
If you have a question that you would like me to answer in a post, please shoot me a message on Twitter or from my contact page.
I enjoy networking with people who are in the online marketing industry. But I enjoy helping people even more.
